Gradebook SAVI Privacy Notice
Information used for your SAVI account
Gradebook SAVI stores the account and professional profile information you provide, including your name, email address, Ghana Region and District, optional school or institution name, optional Headteacher / School Leader name, teaching assignments, lesson-print preferences and optional document-watermark preference. SAVI does not require learner names or create individual learner profiles in the independent teacher product.
Document personalisation
If you enable the optional teacher-name watermark, SAVI uses the verified name already stored in your professional profile. No additional name field is required. The watermark is a document-personalisation aid and does not create a copyright claim over curriculum content.
SAVI Teaching Context
You may optionally save general, non-identifying school/community and class-learning context so SAVI can adapt examples, materials, grouping, scaffolding and accessibility. Teaching Context is advisory: it does not replace or rewrite verified curriculum standards or Indicators. Linked SAVI Schools may share a school-level baseline managed by authorised school leadership. Each teacher may also save a personal teaching-environment context for their own SAVI generation, while class learning context remains teacher-specific.
Protect learner privacy
Describe learners only as a class or group. Do not enter your personal name or the name of any learner, parent or guardian into SAVI free-text chat or Teaching Context fields. Do not enter dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, learner IDs, photographs, parent/guardian information, medical or diagnostic information, family circumstances, financial information or other details that could identify an individual. SAVI includes automated privacy checks for some risky patterns, but those checks cannot detect every possible form of personal information.
Teaching content
Teaching materials you create are associated with your individual SAVI account and saved in your private teaching library. SAVI School does not expose drafts, Copilot conversations, wallet information or other private materials. A school receives only an immutable lesson snapshot that you deliberately submit for professional review. Historical school submissions remain part of the school audit record even if you later transfer schools.
Security
Passwords are stored as secure hashes. Email-verification and password-reset links are stored as hashes and expire. Security controls record privacy-preserving hashes for rate limiting rather than publishing account credentials.
Third-party AI and payments
When generation and wallet features are enabled, the relevant AI and payment providers process only the information necessary for those services under the Gradebook platform configuration. SAVI Teaching Context should therefore remain general and non-identifying.
